  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Liverpool have been drawn against their major Premier League rivals in the third round of the FA Cup, meaning that one of the favourites will be eliminated at the first hurdle. The Reds, though, will be wearing their third jersey. This is despite there being no kit clash, as Arsenal will be wearing an all-white strip themselves.

  Liverpool will not wear red to show support for the Gunners' 'No More Red' campaign, which aims to keep young people safe from knife crime in the community. Arsenal will be in an all-white shirt for the same reason – removing red from the fixture altogether – as the two sides join forces for an initiative that the Gunners have run for the last three seasons. The matchup will therefore be white against purple.
